Central Phoenix, max capacity was 300, was shut down a few times due to shootings. Nine Inch Nails did a couple of shows there just before the Downward Spiral tour. One of the bouncers used my sternum to push the crowd back. Great energy. Had a lot of fun working there. A band from El Paso played there "Windfall". I saw the Ramones and worked a couple of concerts. ASU football players were the bouncers. Another fun experience was being in the pit when the power went out during a Descendents set. The club emptied out and the show was rescheduled with original tickets honored. Those of us slow to leave were rewarded with 2 shows because the power came back on. Also at Dooley's in 1982 I saw Gil Scott-Heron. Dooley's had some hilarious and bizarre gnome or troll that was placed up high on the wall, very short little guy, ugly, had a very long nose that somewhat looked like a p*nis.
