1. Low - Words
My brother and I bought this album back when it came out in 1994. It's Low's first album and this is the first track. Absolutely beautiful. You should own this song, or even better - the whole album
2. Skinny Puppy - Cellar Heart
This 51 second piece is what a brief, gentle thunderstorm would sound like on TV in hell. :)
3. The Stone Roses - Ten Storey Love Song
From their second (and last) album, Second Coming
4. Mazzy Star - Free
The last song on their 1990 debut, She Hangs Brightly
5. Eddie Vedder - Tuolumne
A cool, finger-picked guitar instrumental from the Into The Wild
6. Roxy Music - If There Is Something
Aw yeah. I've heard this album many times. This song starts off like a bizarre country song and slowly morphs into some really cool, emotional parts. Eno's audio manipulations on the saxophone are just brilliant, while Bryan Ferry's vibrato is just out of control rad. I love it. Bowie's Tin Machine covered it back in the early 90s.
7. Led Zeppelin - The Lemon Song
Just listen to John Paul Jones's killer bass playing on this track from their second album. Even better, his parts were improvised live in the studio. Rad.
8. Rush - The Camera Eye
In Rush's early years, they were known to have some really long songs. Camera Eye, from 1981's Moving Pictures
9. T. Rex - Mister Mister
Not among the best of Marc Bolan and T. Rex's work. If I could remove the sax from this song, I would. :)
10. Wilco - Please Be Patient With Me
A good ditty from Wilco's sixth studio album, Sky Blue Sky
