iPod Shuffle: Part 13. Bowie, AFI, Sugarcubes, Big Star, etc.

In an effort to listen to songs that don't get much intentional play on my iPod, I present Part 13 of my 'iPod Shuffle.'  Select 'shuffle' on your mp3 player, write down the first 10 songs that come up and listen to them.  No cheating!  Here are the 10 songs that came up for me.  Please share your ten in the comments section below.  Hopefully you'll hear something cool that you haven't heard before, or in a while.  Click on the player at the bottom to hear samples of the songs and to purchase on Amazon MP3.  - Bret

Brett Anderson - Hymn
The dramatic and beautiful first track from Suede frontman's third solo album.
Tones On Tail - Christian Says
I love this track.
Christian Death - Ashes
Dynamic, powerfully rad opening track to Christian Death's third album, Ashes.  Love it.
Guns N' Roses - Don't Cry
Axl wears a Jane's Addiction shirt in the video and the late Shannon Hoon of Blind Melon sings backing vocals.  Great song.
Duran Duran - Electric Barbarella
Later era Duran Duran.  Really cool.  Be sure to check out the video.
Sugarcubes - Dear Plastic
Haven't heard this in a long time.  Chaotic.  Cool bass line.
AFI - I Am Trying Very Hard To Be Here
From their latest album, Crash Love.  Very nice.
David Bowie - The Loneliest Guy
From Bowie's most recent album, 2003's Reality.  8 years, come on David!
Ian Hunter - It Ain't Easy When You Fall
Amazing song from Mott The Hoople singer's first solo album.
Big Star - Blue Moon
Alex Chilton was a huge influence on Elliott Smith, they sound so much alike here.
