I received this very un-Christmasy cassette on the morning of December 25th, as a gift from my parents back in my high school years. As a teenager, I really liked a lot of metal - bands like Metallica, Megadeth and Slayer - and with this album, Ministry wasn't that much of a departure. 1989's The Mind Is A Terrible Thing To Taste
was the band's fourth album and from the second the first track - Thieves
- launched, I was feeling it. I've played this album on many road trips and tours - so if you are unfamiliar with this album, and need some good, intense driving music... this is it. Thieves, Burning Inside
, Breathe
and So What
are just classic tracks, while Dream Song
is trippy and creepy.
