When I think of New York, I think of Lou Reed. I've been a big fan of his since my teenage years, after hearing his brilliant, Velvet Underground masterpiece - Heroin. In 1973, he released this third solo album, which was based around the ups and downs of a dysfunctional couple. The name of the record is Berlin, and should be in your collection. Today's featured song is one of the saddest songs I have ever heard: Caroline Says II. It's so cold in Alaska...
