[Friday On The Turntable] Lana Del Rey - Ultraviolence

Welcome to this week's Friday On The Turntable feature! For those of you that follow my blog on Facebook, you'll recall that each Friday I post a featured record that I'm currently enjoying. To enhance the experience, I've been filming short videos - discussing a brief history of the record, my favorite tracks and what it means to me. The video is embedded below - and don't forget to subscribe to my youtube channel here.

Lana Del Rey's 'Ultraviolence' has been getting a ton of play on my turntable - since it's release a couple of weeks ago. Check out my video below where I discuss the album in depth, highlight my favorite tracks, and show off the US vinyl edition.

Song Of The Day 2011: Lana Del Rey - Blue Jeans / Video Games

Going to pause for a moment to stay current with some new music released in the last few months. Keep up to date on all my daily postings by clicking LIKE on the Life On This Planet Facebook Page.

I've been anxiously waiting to feature these two songs. The release date was originally for next week, but apparently it got bumped up and is now available on all of the digital sites. This is Lana Del Rey, and 'Blue Jeans' and 'Video Games' are two of the raddest songs of the year. At the moment, she only has a 4-song EP available, featuring both tracks, along with remixes of each. Please enjoy the cool videos below and a couple of live performances.
