Damien: Omen II (1978)
The story continues... Damien, now 12 years old and in military school, begins to realize his powers and who he actually is. William Holden stars as his uncle and the owner of Thorn Industries, a powerful company that Damien one day will inherit. Jonathan Scott-Taylor does a fine job portraying the evil Damien in a pretty successful sequel.
Interesting trivia:
1. Actor Jonathan Scott-Taylor has also played the role of Jesus in a stage production.
2. Allan Arbus, who plays the role of David Pasarian, was married to photographer Diane Arbus.
3. Lucas Donat, who plays Damien's cousin Mark, is the co-founder and CEO of an ad agency responsible for all of the eHarmony televeision commercials.
Looks at though they planned a sequel with Scott-Taylor for 1979 or so, but that didn't happen. Too bad, it probably would have been good. Unless they are referring to The Omen III: The Final Conflict, which would not make sense given how old Damien is in this final of the trilogy. Looking forward to see if you watch that tonight =)

Thanks Vincent. Yesterday, I found the Omen box set for just over $10! It was a good find. I've actually seen III & IV, but don't remember them very well. Tonight? Not sure what the film will be. :)
ReplyDeleteI didn't know about Omen IV. Read about it on IMDB and saw it's a TV movie, so I'll skip it. It essentially seems to be the same story at the original. Great find on the box set though!!
