Day 18 of my Horror Film Marathon

Saw II (2005)
Detective Eric Mathews, played by Donnie Wahlberg, is summoned to a horrific crime scene which is the work of the serial killer Jigsaw. Mathews then finds out that his son has been captured and is in a room with 7 other people all inhaling a deadly nerve gas. Like the first Saw, the story is intricate and there are many surprises. Strangest scene: Amanda, a returning character from the first film, gets pushed into a pit filled with bloody syringes, to search for a key. Not quite as good as Saw I, but definitely a good sequel.
Interesting trivia from IMDB:
1. It took four days for four people to replace all of the needle tips with fiber tips for the syringe scene.
2. The entire movie was filmed in one building.
Nice! Surprised you didn't finish the Omen Trilogy before moving on to the next Saw. I agree completely, good, not as good as #1, and I believe you'll find III a little less good, and so on. I believe I stopped at IV or maybe even V.
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to tomorrow's review.
